Job Title: Field-Based Sales Representative

Position: Full-time, base salary plus commission

About Roaring Table

Roaring Table was featured in Craft Beer & Brewing's Best in Beer 2021, and received a World Beer Cup Bronze medal in 2022. We opened in 2017 with a 10 BBL brewhouse, 125 seat taproom, and an outdoor beer garden/patio. We began self-distribution in early 2020, have expanded our brewing capacity over the past three years, and are focused on growing our brand, market presence, and wholesale business in 2023 and beyond.

The primary objective of this position is to increase on- and off-premise sales volume. Over 80% of your time will be client-facing, growing new and existing accounts while representing our brand and building strong relationships with retail partners. A successful candidate for this role will be responsible for responding to account needs, educating customers and consumers, executing key account events, and coordinating festivals/booth coverage with leadership. Sales expenses and mileage will be reimbursed accordingly.

Details of The Role

  • 3+ years sales experience working with a beer supplier or wholesaler within the Illinois market.
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to adjust working hours to accommodate samplings and key account events/festivals beyond a typical 9-5 schedule. Nights and weekends are common, and flexibility is a part of the job.
  • Work closely with leadership and production teams to develop and execute a business plan that consistently meets or exceeds revenue and volume targets. 
  • Forecasting, account targeting, inventory management, program/promotional development, sales reporting, effective and regular communications - among other tasks - will be required consistently.
  • A reliable car is a must, as a high amount of travel is expected. 
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and a safe driving record are REQUIRED.

Skill Set

  • Knowledge of craft beer and the Chicagoland market in general, and the ability to communicate Roaring Table’s beer portfolio to clients in particular.
  • Excellent time management, organization, key account targeting, and efficient daily call routing.
  • Self-motivated ability to work independently in order to effectively grow the sales success of Roaring Table.
