California Area Sales Manager

Allagash Brewing Company, based in Portland, Maine seeks an experienced (at least 5 years progressively responsible experience in beer sales) California Area Sales Manager to join our sales team. The ideal candidate has the ability to manage the market and lead a team of high energy, high performing individuals with varied skill sets and levels of experience. Superior communication skills are crucial to this role, and versatility to engage effectively with coworkers, accounts, and wholesale partners is essential. This position requires extensive knowledge of the Craft Beer segment and the ability to train and instruct to maximize the sales potential of each team member. Expert level organizational ability, including time management, is a must to be successful. Highly proficient computer skills, with strong knowledge of Google Suite, or the equivalent, and the ability to learn new technologies as they become relevant is expected. This position will supervise a team of 3 individuals in Field Sales/Territory Manager roles to start, with the potential for team growth.
This is a salaried, full-time position. We are offering $85,000 to $115,000 base compensation for this role, and an individual offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, this position is eligible for our sales incentives program, with the potential to earn up to an additional $10,000 each year as well as annual company wide profit sharing. To start, onboarding will take place at the brewery. This position requires evening and weekend hours. A valid driver's license is required for this position. Occasional travel to and from the brewery is required. This position ideally will be based in the greater Los Angeles area or other major urban market in California.
