As part of our core team, we are looking for a motivated Sales Manager to lead our external beer sales and market our brand. The successful individual is personable, highly energetic and creative, a self-starter, has ability to build strong customer relationships and has a passion for craft beer.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead sales effort of craft beer kegs, bottles and cans to external customers
  • Responsible for identifying new customers and maintaining relations with existing customers to generate and deliver new orders including stocking customer shelves as needed
  • Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve or exceed annual sales goals and develop strong and lasting customer relationships
  • Core territory covers approximately 75 accounts including sales calls and deliveries every 1-2 weeks within a one hour radius of Geneva, NY including Canandaigua, Rochester, Syracuse, Ithaca and Finger Lakes area. Territory also includes key accounts in Buffalo with sales and deliveries made every 2-4 weeks.
  • Promote brewery portfolio including education of new products and expansion of existing products
  • Promote and market brewery externally and with customer partners including tastings, tap take-overs, brew festivals, community events, farmer’s markets and other promotional events
  • Core hours are Monday to Friday, but will include occasional evenings and weekends for promotional events.
  • Adaptable to a growing and changing work environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • At least two years’ experience in craft beverage sales and/or similar experience required
  • Familiarity with craft beer styles and flavors
  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including occasional nights and weekends
  • A positive and collaborative attitude
  • Basic computer proficiency including Google Docs and Quickbooks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to pass background checks

Desired Experience

  • Strong passion for craft beverages, particularly Belgian style beers
  • Cicerone certified

Compensation

  • 24-32 hours per week
  • Hourly rate based on experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work long hours on your feet
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 160 lbs
  • Ability to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment
  • Ability to crouch, bend, lift, climb stairs, and reach
  • Ability to remain focused and level-headed under demanding situations
