Cellar/Delivery Person

Odd Otter Brewing Company is looking for the right individual to add to our team as a Cellar Person and Distribution Associate. This position will consist of time in the brew area assisting our Head Brewer with day to day operations of beer production, storage, packaging, and brewhouse upkeep. In addition, this team member will fulfill beer deliveries within the local area.

Responsibilities and skills necessary for delivery:

• While performing the duties of this job, delivery drivers frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, twist reach with hands and arms, frequently lift and/or move up to 165 pounds with a keg dolly in multi-temperature environments ranging from 32F to 100F.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate a commercial vehicle.
• Must be personable with excellent customer relation skills.
• Basic understanding and appreciation of craft beer and willingness to learn about our products.
• Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
• Position requires working independently, time management and problem solving skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities and skills of assisting in the brewery:

• Come in prepared to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 
• Communicate with the brewer to understand the day’s objectives. 
• Assist with packaging of beer in cans and bottles.
• Filling of kegs, Cleaning of kegs, Moving kegs, cans, other items between brewery and storage.
• Follow SOP’s and safety protocols. 
• Contribute to improvements and processes required to gain efficiency and quality assurance. 
• Safely work with hazardous chemicals. 
• Frequent problem solving will be required. 
• Ability to ask for help to ensure product meets quality expectations, mistakes are avoided, and product is delivered on time. 

Physical Requirements:

• Consistently lift and carry 55 pounds.
• Must be able to move, slide full half barrel kegs ~165 pounds. 
• With assistance, must be able to help lift and move 165 pound kegs. 
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, kneeling, repetitive hand and wrist motion, and reaching.
• Must be able to stand and work for an entire shift. 
• Work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment and materials. 

Starting salary: $18/hr
