Overview
Seeking a passionate Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing team! As an AP Associate, you will be responsible for providing superior service to business units for accounts payable processing and analysis.
This is a hybrid position that can be based out of Arizona, Nevada, Maryland, or Tampa, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely payment of the Company’s vendors by achieving or exceeding targets for Accounts Payable (AP).
- Ensures that Account Payable policies and procedures are accurate by updating Business Process Procedures periodically or as processes change.
- Continuously improves the Accounts Payable process by analyzing trends and providing recommendations.
- Identifies and seeks to continuously exceed the service requirements of the business units by building and managing relationships with contacts at each location.
- Resolves AP processing exceptions by working with appropriate external and internal contacts and managing the SAP Workload.
- Supports other AP processes by researching vendor statements and maintaining email and voicemail communications.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred
- 1-2 years prior accounts or AP experience strongly preferred
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
Competencies:
- Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.
- Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.
