Mid-Atlantic Area Sales Manager

Allagash Brewing Company, based in Portland, Maine seeks an experienced (at least 5 years progressively responsible experience in beer sales) Mid-Atlantic Area Sales Manager to join our sales team. The ideal candidate has the ability to manage the market and guide a team of high energy, high performing employees with varied skill sets and levels of experience. Exceptional communication skills are crucial to this role, and versatility to engage effectively with coworkers, accounts, and wholesale partners is essential. This position requires extensive knowledge of the Beverage Alcohol segment and the ability to train and instruct to maximize the sales potential of each team member. Expert level organizational ability, including time management, is a must to be successful. Highly proficient computer skills, with strong knowledge of Google Suite, or the equivalent, and the ability to learn new technologies as they become relevant is expected. This role will be responsible for all aspects of Allagash sales within the Mid-Atlantic territory, which includes: New Jersey, Greater Philadelphia, Maryland, Delaware, DC and Virginia. This position will supervise a team of three, with the potential for team and/or territory growth.
This is an exempt, full-time position. We are offering $90,000 to $112,000 base compensation for this role, and an offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, this position is eligible for our sales incentive program, with the potential to earn up to an additional $10,000 each year, as well as annual company-wide profit sharing. This position includes evening and weekend hours. A valid driver's license is required. Frequent travel within the territory to work with team members and wholesaler partners is required, as is occasional travel to and from the brewery in Portland, Maine (2x per year, plus an onboarding trip post-hire.) This position ideally will be based in the Philadelphia area, which is centrally located within the covered territory.
