Summary:  The Brewer is responsible for beer production process and day-to-day operations of the brewery. This leadership role may involve many different tasks including working with other brewers, making purchasing decisions, meeting with customers and other businesses, creating new types of beer, meeting production goals and managing resources in partnership with the lead brewer by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Work with Lead Brewer on production schedule and goals
2. Wort production following QC guidelines.
3. Manage fermentation following SOP’s and QC guidelines.
4. Reviews the general business climate and adjusts staff and inventories as needed. 
5. Ensure all brewing operations are being entered into the ERP. 
6. Promotes and directs Tap Room marketing programs. 
7. Ensures customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality beer, courteous employees and quick response to needs. 
8. Reports status information to management monthly. 
9. Preform maintenance of brewing equipment per training and SOP’s. 
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Team Development Responsibilities:

1. Develops and maintains an effective brewery through the teamwork, collaboration, and motivation. 
2. Manage Brewery including staffing needs, inventory, policies etc.
3. Maintain safe, healthy and sustainable brewery environment, SOP’s and safety.
4. Maintains Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) and compliance with food standards

Marketing

1. Attends and represents the company at local festivals and events
2. Work with the marketing team to improve the profile, branding, naming, promoting and marketing our beers.
3. Help to build the customer base
4. Meeting with trade associations

Experience/Skills

1. At least 3-5 years experience in brewing beer
2. Demonstrated ability to manage a beer production line
3. Experience keeping records for quality control
4. Experience managing projects
5. Mechanical or engineering experience
6. Food production experience
7. Ability to work independently
8. Great communication skills
9. Detail oriented
10. Critical thinking skills
11. Must be a great communicator
12. Must possess a mechanical aptitude
13. Must have experience in production brewing and or experience in sanitary food or beverage processing
14. Candidates should be serious about safety, quality and cleanliness
15. Availability to work days, nights, and weekends is necessary 

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior management experience helpful.
