Dorchester Brewing Company is looking for a high-energy, motivated sales person to represent us in Metro Boston. In this role, you will be integral in building and expanding our distribution footprint in Dorchester and the surrounding Boston markets, building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, and helping grow on- and off-premise sales volume. This role will be the main point of contact with on- and off-premise accounts throughout the Boston area as both a brand representative and primary sales contact. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Promotes and builds the Dorchester Brewing brand by visiting restaurants, bars, and liquor stores to build rapport with buyers, managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Coordinates with Massachusetts wholesaler and distributor area reps
  • Manages and maintains key account relationships
  • Source, manage, and conduct demos and on-/off-premise tastings (when applicable)
  • Solicit market feedback to help build and grow the Dorchester brand and distribution footprint

Accountability, Management & Communication

  • This position reports directly to the Wholesale Manager
  • Internal reporting and communication on account check-ins and sales
  • Effective communication with Senior Marketing Manager to promote sales and distribution efforts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of outside alcohol sales or experience in the alcohol industry (e.g. beer buyer, taproom, retail alcohol, or sales experience preferred)
  • Proficient with Google Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills when managing account lists and inventories
  • Able to travel to brewery taproom and accounts in the Metro Boston area
  • 21+ years old
  • Driver’s license & reliable vehicle
  • Knowledgeable of craft beer and brewing
  • Comfortable talking with customers about craft beer and brewing

COMPENSATION

  • $45,000 base + bonus based on commission of sales
  • Mileage and travel reimbursement
  • 50%+ contribution by DBco to health insurance
  • 15 days of PTO + holidays
  • 401k with company match when applicable
