Delve into your creativity and harness digital trends while running point on social media for the largest independent brewery in Illinois. The Social Media Associate is a creative and driven digital media professional producing exciting content while staying on the forefront of a rapidly changing social media landscape.
This position produces imaginative and timely video content to support Revolution Brewing’s social media and communications efforts. This role brings a vital facet to the overall brand voice and expands messaging capabilities across platforms, including the continuing build out of Revolution’s presence on TikTok and work on expanding our library of high-quality video content.
As our principal visual storyteller for, your job will be to create video content highlighting our people, beers, and events. We really want you to dive deep into brewery culture and make the digital space your own. You’ll share fun info on new releases, educational content, behind-the-scenes creativity and anything else you think is relevant. This’ll happen as you produce content across our social media channels and work festivals and events with the brand activations team.
Organization and communication are vital to the role. You’ll be Rev’s historian as you manage our Untapped business account and organize videos on our Vimeo and YouTube pages. You’ll also keep up the fun back-and-forth dialogue with our fans and followers by timely responding to comments and DMs across the channels. Last, but definitely not least, you’ll celebrate the best of the RevBrew Crew’s wins and be the first to highlight upcoming news on our brewery intranet site.
Qualifications
- Proven social media track record and following, personally and/or as a content creator for a brand.
- Previous experience with digital video production and/or short-form video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Rush, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software is a plus.
- Basic-to-intermediate digital photography skills are a plus, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
- A passionate enthusiasm for craft beer is a plus, as is a demonstrated ability to communicate with fans of the industry or similar industries.
- 3+ years of experience in creating digital content, with a current portfolio.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in marketing, communications, public relations, or design; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and weekends at brand activation events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects.
