Taproom/General Manager
The taproom manager is a key part of our team here in Warwick as you will be responsible for overseeing the overall customer experience at our facility. In other words, you might call this position the director of first impressions. The taproom manager should have a keen understanding of what makes the Drowned Lands special and unique, a solid understand of our brewing process and beer styles, and the ability to make sure all daily taproom operations are executed to our standards.
Some of the duties and responsibilities include;
Co-ordination with various team leaders including, event’s staff, kitchen staff, production, marketing, and management.
Ability to work long shifts, nights & weekends, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Scheduling, staffing, and management of bar service and taproom staff.
Overseeing taproom, bathrooms, and outdoor cleanliness. Basic property maintenance.
Monthly training and educating staff on beer, service, and as brand ambassadors.
Opening and closing of bar in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Restocking, ordering, inventory, merchandising, menu setup and review.
Assist with execution on taproom events such as Trivia, Concerts, Festivals, etc.
Oversee private events such as weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, etc.
Co-ordinate and schedule outside vendors such as, caterers, florists, food trucks, musicians, etc.
Point of Sale updates, management, and execution.
Review, establish, and document various SOP and best practices.
Bar tending experience in beer, wine, and cocktails. Cicerone and Sommelier certs a plus!
Entrepreneurial attitude, thinking about how best to maximize taproom sales and profits.
Qualifications; The successful candidate must have prior hospitality management experience. Excellent attitude, communication skills, and organizational skills are a must. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift about 45 lbs. Ability to work full time including nights and weekends. This is a very exciting opportunity to be a key member of one of New York’s most successful and quickly growing breweries. Compensation will be competitive and above industry standards. However, only those candidates with experience and who are highly qualified will be considered.
