Purpose Brewing and Cellars is 5.5 years old and established in Fort Collins, CO on the Front Range. Peter was the master brewer at New Belgium for over twenty years before he and his wife Frezi started Purpose. Previously he had been at Rodenbach before moving to the United States from Belgium. The vision for Purpose was to have a robust cellar program while serving new beers weekly, leaning into creativity and playfulness with each beer. With the addition of new owners in 2021, Purpose has kept its philosophy while bringing more verve and dedication to the craft that Peter and Frezi have developed. 

Currently Peter and Frezi split their time between Fort Collins and traveling the world judging in beer competitions (Frezi has a stellar palate), consulting other breweries regarding their programs, and generally being amazing advocates for craft beer across the world. Ashley and James manage day-to-day operations.
