JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Brewer position is responsible for ensuring tasks are being completed, brewery standards are being met and safety standards are being adhered to. Must be quality focused and enjoy working with a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

No. Works under guidance of Lead Brewer to ensure Big Grove produces the best beer possible.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hospitality/ brewery environment. This role routinely uses cleaning chemicals, works in an unconditioned space with steam and boiling liquids and works with power equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 160 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work/ days may vary from week to week. Schedules will be posted the week prior to allow time for employee’s to be informed of work requirements. The business is open 7 days a week. Evening and weekends are likely a key requirement. Expected hours are 40 to 50 hours a week

Travel

Travel may be expected occasionally in this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience working in the brewery industry
